The sculpture is fabricated from formed metal sheets that house an Arduino microcontroller running custom algorithmic software. The system generates poems by randomly selecting and sequencing from a library of 23 pre-composed stanzas, creating unique compositions with each activation. A receipt printer integrated into the structure outputs the generated text on thermal paper, with each poem beginning with "Earth, oh how the times have changed" and concluding with "I will always be here, but will you?" The algorithm controls both the length and order of stanzas, ensuring infinite variations within the established framework. The metalwork provides both structural support and visual form, while protecting the electronics within. The piece functions as a meditation on planetary change, using computational randomness to generate environmental reflection.
