Mating Collar - Image 1

DESCRIPTION

The collar is constructed from flexible textile materials integrated with embedded electronics that respond to biometric data. A heart rate sensor monitors the wearer's pulse, while a sonar proximity sensor detects nearby individuals, feeding data to a microcontroller that orchestrates the collar's response. Small servo motors positioned along the collar's structure activate fabric flutter mechanisms when excitement is detected, creating visible kinetic movement. The textile elements are engineered to maximize movement while minimizing weight, allowing the servos to create dramatic gestures with minimal power consumption. The piece translates biological arousal into physical display, creating a technological interpretation of natural mating behaviors.
