Individual borosilicate glass vessels are hand-blown using traditional flameworking techniques, with each chamber sealed to maintain sterile environments for biological cultures. The vessels are connected through custom-fabricated chain-mail links, allowing the structure to move fluidly with the body while maintaining the integrity of each sealed chamber. The borosilicate glass, chosen for its resistance to thermal shock and chemical stability, enables the cultivation of living organisms directly on the body. Each vessel can be independently opened and sealed, featuring ground glass joints that create airtight connections. The piece expands the traditional laboratory function of glass vessels from institutional spaces into wearable format, enabling biological experimentation to occur in natural environments.
