DESCRIPTION

The piece incorporates six LCD screens arranged in a clustered formation that references the cellular, kaleidoscopic structure of fly compound eyes. Each display shows different streams of personal surveillance data about the wearer, creating a multi-faceted view that mirrors how insects process visual information simultaneously from multiple angles. A microcontroller manages the display system, coordinating data feeds across all screens to create an overwhelming sensory experience for both wearer and viewer. The surveillance information includes location tracking, biometric data, and digital activity, making normally hidden data collection visible and inescapable. The biomimetic design draws parallels between insect vision systems and contemporary surveillance networks, both operating through distributed observation points. The piece confronts users with the extent of personal data exposure, using the uncomfortable experience of constant visibility to critique surveillance culture.
